The 2014 Clarkville School Gala!
In the first term of school, the PTA decided to run a Twilight Gala to raise money for the School. They asked our class if any of us were interested in running a stall. I said I was keen so I got together with Jayden and my brother Tom, who also wanted to give it a go, to do it with me.
What we did at our stall
- The Rusty Ring Toss - there is a rusty pole and 4 rusty horseshoes. The aim of the game is to try and get as many horseshoes on the pole as you can. The more you get on, the better the prize!
- The Easter Egg Hunt - there is a big container filled with shredded paper. The aim of the game is to find a trash can in the container. There is an Easter egg in some trash cans, which you get to keep, and a rock in the others. The rock has a number on it ranging from 1-3. The higher the number the better the prize!
Rusty ring toss- 1 ticket for 4 throws
Easter surprise- 1 ticket for 1 dig
The Process!
We had to meet together a few times and look for and buy some prizes to give away.We worked on the posters at lunchtime and discussed what we were going to do until we got things sorted.

Reflection
I think I did a good job helping out and being a leader especially with
organising and planning. I think that my customer service was friendly and my
explaining was clear. Our group did a good job and our games were heavily
popular. The rusty ring toss was not so popular because it was at the
back, but if we brought it up, it would be dangerous so next time we could maybe
not have an activity like that.
I learnt that everyone likes a surprise so that was why the Easter
surprise was popular. We also used some of our old toys, so that cut down the
price for prizes. It felt good to raise money to the school and I would be keen
to do it again!
I will hand in my plan to you when you are ready to talk about this.
